Downtown Charlotte

Wednesday, April 29th, 2009

Yesterday was absolutely amazing.  We had the opportunity to attend a one day event, hosted by Elevation Church, in downtown Charlotte.  We arrived in Charlotte at 4:00am in the morning and the event started at 9:00am.  Needless to say, we were super tired but extremely pumped!  We stayed on the 12th floor at the Marriott downtown and yes I rode the elevator (had no choice…there was no other way up)!  So after 3.5 hours of sleep, we were up and off to the Bank of America building (by the way, the CEO quit today) which is the tallest building in Charlotte.  Once we arrived the place was packed, so they ushered us to the front row of the stage and yes, Pastor Furtick does spit when he preaches (thats why I love the guy)!  Anyway, we left challenged, excited, and refreshed.  I really believe that Crosspoint Church is on the right path to accomplish something that only can be describe as a move of God!  Trust me, the best is yet to come!!!

Monday Night Church

Monday, April 27th, 2009

Just a reminder that Crosspoint will be meeting tonight at 7:00pm at the Conference Center.  God has been doing some amazing things during this series.  We have already seen 19 people make a decision to follow Christ!  Make sure you come tonight and bring your friends.  I really beleive God is going to challenge us BIG time.

Also, right after church we are heading to Charlotte, NC for a conference in the morning.  Should get there by 3:00am and the conference starts at 9:00am.  Should be interesting…I feel like I’m in college again going on a last minute road trip!

Tuesday Night Church

Wednesday, April 22nd, 2009

Wow…What an awesome time last night.  God really moved and people gave their lives to Christ!  Thanks to all the awesome volunteers who rearranged their schedules to make Tuesday Night church happen.  Last night just goes to show you that the church can meet anytime at any place and still be dynamic.  After seeing what took place last night I can’t wait till next Monday night.  That’s right! Crazy schedule number two.  We will not be meeting this Sunday again, instead we will be meeting Monday night at 7:00pm at the Conference Center. Trust me…You do not want to miss!  So go ahead and adjust your schedules to be there next Monday.

By the way, I am pumped about speaking at CRU tonight at 9:00pm!  I love speaking to college students!

Crazy Sunday

Tuesday, April 14th, 2009

On Easter Sunday we kicked off a brand new series called “Crazy Love” and it was awesome!  Here are some crazy things that took place…

  • 15 people decided to follow Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
  • 93 kids in Kidspoint!  23 were infants…Someone is reading the Song of Solomon!  Keep it up!
  • 483 people in attendance and most of our college students were gone. (That’s 323 more people than last Easter.)
By far one of our greatest Sundays ever in our short history!  Do you know what is really crazy?  It all happens again next week.  This time not on Sunday but on Tuesday night, April 21st at 7:00pm.  I will share more about our crazy schedule later this week.
Call me crazy but I really believe the best is still yet to come!

Video Preacher

Tuesday, April 7th, 2009

Last Sunday we showed a video of Louie Giglio and four people gave their lives to Jesus.  That is awesome! Our people love video messages!  I know there are some haters out there who believe video preaching doesn’t work…Well someone forgot to tell God that!

I really enjoyed taking Sunday off to relax and be refreshed.  This was the second Sunday I have missed since we launched Crosspoint Church in January 2008.  However, my absence reminded me of just how much I love Crosspoint Church.  I really believe God is doing something very special in Morehead, KY and I can’t believe we all get to be apart of it.

Quick prayer request…Tonight I have the opportunity to speak to 400-500 college students.  I have been asked to share my story how God has changed my life.  Please pray that God will use my testimony to speak into these student’s lives.  Thanks!
