Sunday Recap

Sunday, June 8th, 2008

Today was awesome!  We had a packed house with 165 people as Pastor Craig started us off with Lord Make Us One.  I was shouting all the way through his message!  Jesus prayed in John 17 that we (the church) would all be one so the whole world would know that God sent His Son.  Please pray for unity in the church.  Reach out to those who look different and believe different than you.  Yes…There may be some minor things that we see differently than others but it shouldn’t stop us from hanging-out with them or worshiping with them.  I really believe there are going to be a lot of Christians who are not going to like heaven.  There is going to be singing and shouting and dancing and Baptist and Methodist and Pentecostals and Presbyterians and on and on.  When are we going to get past this point and actually lift up our brothers and sisters who worship differently than us or believe a little different than us?  Please don’t get me wrong, I am not talking about mixing different religions, I am talking about those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God and He is the way, the truth, and the life.  Not an ecumenical movement but a good old fashion Holy Ghost movement.  Where people would unite around this one thing….To make the name of Jesus famous across all the earth.  So will you pray for unity in the church?  Will you pray that God would make us one?  When that happens, you are going to see some awesome stuff take place !!!  Can I get a witness?

Tonight I will be preaching at Fair View Baptist Church in Ashland, KY.  Please pray that God would use me to speak of His goodness of what He is doing here in Morehead, KY.  Man, I love this place!!!

Historic Movement

Saturday, June 7th, 2008

Get ready to make history, Crosspoint!  The long awaited “One Prayer” series starts tomorrow.  Crosspoint will unite with over 1,300 churches across the world and with almost 1 million people.  I am so excited for our young church to participate in this historic move of God.  Never before in the history of the church have we ever seen denominational walls come down and people unite.  Crosspoint will host three of the most influential pastors in the world who pastor the fastest growing churches in America.  Make every effort to be at church tomorrow and experience the power of God through unity.

If you are not familiar with this series, you can catch up here!

Spontaneous Vacation…

Friday, June 6th, 2008

Sunday after church, my family and I went to Pigeon Forge, TN.  Pigeon Forge is just like Myrtle Beach but without the beach.  Here are some quick snapshots of this whirlwind vacation…

Family Time (Pizza)
Just finished eating some awesome pizza…

Dixie Stampede…

Daddy’s little Pirate…

Anyway, I encourage you all to get away and spend some time with your family this summer.  I believe one of the greatest investments that you will ever make is “time” into your family.

One Prayer / New Staff

Monday, June 2nd, 2008

Wow!  What an awesome 4 months Crosspoint Church has experienced.  We have seen 12 people saved and on May 4th, we saw 14 people baptized at the MSU pool.  However, we know there is more to come!  This week we will begin a new series with over 1,200 churches across the world.  This series is going to be the BEST series in the history of Crosspoint Church.  I would encourage you to do everything you can to be here this weekend to kick off the “One Prayer” series.  I really believe that God is going to use these next 4 Sundays to unite Crosspoint Church and get us in position to dominate this region with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  No joke…You need to make every effort to come this Sunday.

Also, Crosspoint Church would like to welcome its newest staff member…Caleb Evans.  Caleb is the son of Don and Keri Evans.  He graduated from Rowan County High School and then from Morehead State University.  Caleb then went on to graduate from Purdue University with a master’s degree in engineering.  Caleb left Lexmark Inc. as an engineer to move back to Morehead, KY and is now officially Crosspoint Church’s Executive Pastor.  Please pray for him as he transitions into his new position and becomes part of Crosspoint’s leadership team.

Again, please make every effort to be here this weekend for one of the greatest Sunday’s ever at Crosspoint Church!
